Welcome to Lumina28 Design. By accessing or using lumina28.com, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully.

About Us

Lumina28 Design is the authorized US distributor of Mononofu knives, handcrafted in Japan. We sell custom, made-to-order knives and branded merchandise.

Products & Orders

  • All knives are made to order. Each knife is handcrafted by a single artisan in Japan using VG1 steel.
  • Product images are representative. Because each knife is handmade, slight variations in finish, color, and dimensions are normal and part of the craft.
  • Prices are listed in USD and are subject to change without notice. Your price is locked at the time of deposit.

Ordering Process

  1. Select your knife model and customization options.
  2. Pay a 50% deposit to reserve your build slot.
  3. Your knife is handcrafted over 6–8 weeks. We send progress photos.
  4. Upon completion, you approve your knife and pay the remaining balance.
  5. Your knife ships fully insured with tracking.

Deposits & Payment

  • A 50% deposit is required to begin production.
  • Deposits are refundable within 48 hours of placement, before work begins.
  • After work begins, deposits are non-refundable. See our Refund Policy for full details.
  • Remaining balance must be paid before shipping.
  • Payments are processed securely through Shopify Payments.

Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase knives from Lumina28 Design. By placing an order, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Knife Regulations

  • It is your responsibility to know and comply with your local, state, and federal laws regarding knife ownership, carry, and use.
  • Lumina28 Design is not liable for any misuse of our products or for orders placed in jurisdictions where such knives are restricted.
  • We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders that may violate applicable laws.

Intellectual Property

All content on this site — including logos, images, text, and designs — is the property of Lumina28 Design or used with permission. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without written consent.

Limitation of Liability

Lumina28 Design provides products "as is." We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our products or services. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for your order.

Modifications

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with applicable US federal and state law.
